行車記錄器在台灣一直以來在台灣幾乎是車車必備
Amazon & Newegg 都有很多商家在賣
近來美國也慢慢吹來這股風
交通糾紛在任何國家都很常見
所以在車上安置一個鏡頭
絕對是處理車禍時最有力的證據
正所謂有圖有真相
小弟最近剛好發生車禍
就是因為有了車子黑盒子
才證明了對方的錯
順便提供給大家個人選購行車記錄器的重點

大約一個月前
小弟在 210 E 高速公路上發生車禍
當時車速變慢所以我慢慢踩了煞車
結果後面的重型機車來不急停就撞上了我車子後方
通常在美國這樣的案例都是會判後面的車輛罪過
也就是所謂的 "Rear End"
保險公司會理賠 而你的保費也不會漲
但是....千萬要小心
小弟就差點被人陷害
當時一撞到之後 我們都把車停到路肩
後來重機騎士的朋友過來作勢想打我把我嚇跑
我就直接立刻報警申報車禍
心想還是交給警察來處理比較好
在錄筆錄的時候
機車騎士說我忽然換線
害他來不急停下來所以才撞上來
結果又從後面找了一個不知道哪裡冒出來的證人
也說是我的錯 說我CUT LANE...
但是！！！！！！
小弟我明明就是直直的往前開...和踩煞車...
根本就沒有要切換線
但被對方一口咬定是我的錯
連公路警察的最後出來的報告都說是我的錯
不過還好.....
小弟車上安裝著"行車記錄器"
完完全全紀錄著當時情況如下
最後我的保險公司請我把證據交給警察
結果警察一看馬上就說要修改他們的車禍報告
馬上戳破了對方肇事的口供
現在想想還好我有裝行車記錄器
所以行車記錄器應該每部車都要配備
以備不時之需
不然就有可能像小弟我被黑被陰了....
所以到底要如何選購好的行車記錄器呢？
1. 價錢
行車記錄器便宜的下至$30上至$300都有
可以上AMAZON, eBay, Newegg 選購
順便可以看看其他消費者的評價
2. 功能
行車記錄器大家可能都以為就只是錄影機
但是好的行車記錄器還可以有很多好用的功能
好的行車記錄器會跟GOOGLE MAP做連結
換句話說
當你把影片在電腦上播放時
會有各種資訊如下
你可能會好奇要這些資料幹嘛呢...
因為有了座標 可以讓你的影片更有證據力
證實影片就是車禍現場
順便還有提供車速
當車子受到撞擊時也會有紀錄
可以說是車子黑盒子阿！！
3. 當地法律
行車記錄器安裝的位置是非常重要的
在台灣似乎沒有什麼太嚴格的規定
但是在美國就不一樣了
詳情要在DMV尋找
在加州洛杉磯
行車記錄器和衛星導航只能安裝在特定區塊
駕駛左下角五吋以及副駕駛方右下角七吋的地方
還有最中間上面5吋平方

如果違法是有可能被警察開罰單的
所以一定要注意

(13) (A) A video event recorder with the capability of monitoring driver performance to improve driver safety, which may be mounted in a seven-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield farthest removed from the driver, in a five-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield nearest to the driver and outside of an airbag deployment zone, or in a five-inch square mounted to the center uppermost portion of the interior of the windshield. As used in this section, “video event recorder” means a video recorder that continuously records in a digital loop, recording audio, video, and G-force levels, but saves video only when triggered by an unusual motion or crash or when operated by the driver to monitor driver performance.
(B) A vehicle equipped with a video event recorder shall have a notice posted in a visible location which states that a passenger’s conversation may be recorded.
(C) Video event recorders shall store no more than 30 seconds before and after a triggering event.
(D) The registered owner or lessee of the vehicle may disable the device.
(E) The data recorded to the device is the property of the registered owner or lessee of the vehicle.
(F) When a person is driving for hire as an employee in a vehicle with a video event recorder, the person’s employer shall provide unedited copies of the recordings upon the request of the employee or the employee’s representative. These copies shall be provided free of charge to the employee and within five days of the request.

I am here to share my personal experience of recent car accident on Freeway in Los Angeles. I saw there is a slow traffic, so I applied my break and tried to slow down. However, one motorcycle was probably speedy and cannot stop on time. As the result, he rear my end and crash my rear bumper. He accuses me of changing lane dangerously and caused the accident. He also find a fake witness claiming it's my fault because she was driving behind me and saw everything. However, this is not the fact. I was driving straight without any intention of changing lanes. I provided this youtube video (please see above) to the police and they revised the police report to place the fault on the motorcyclist. In conclusion, I do think it's a great idea to have one video recording equipment on your car just in case of something happened. Without this video, I will be paying $2,000 for repairing my car. For those of you who are interested in buying a Car Black Box, please make sure you read the related regulation and law from DMV to avoid any violation. Drive Safe and Good Luck everyone.
